Ukulele Workshop Reflection

I learned quite a few things at the ukulele workshop. Having played mandolin, I had an idea of what it was like to play chord-centric instruments, but playing the ukulele gave me a more complete understanding and appreciation of what it was like to play chord-centric instruments, since the ukulele is definitely a non-melodic instrument. Not only that, the song-making part helped me learn more about co-operating with other people on how to create a song. I also learned the standard chorus-verse-bridge song structure, and how to use those to write a song. I generally found the ukulele workshop enjoyable, and had a blast putting together a song with other people, two of which who had already in the education system. What I wish I could have learned was more about the history of the ukulele, as that part had to be skipped for the sake of the workshop finishing on time.
