I'd say the most challenging part of this assignment was not only listening to myself sing, since I almost always wince when I hear my voice played back to me, but also picking the right parts of my improvisation to lead into one another. Watching the video, I noticed that I either played it very safe making for some uninteresting music, or got caught on a specific note and had to wait to come back in with the accompaniment. And having to stop and redo the part is something I find myself doing a lot when practicing violin or during my violin lessons, which tells me that I need to stop pausing every time I mess up, since it's creeped its way into my other assignments. I also took a creative liberty in the second bar, where in the video I jumped down from the third scale degree to the sixth, where here I jumped up so I would be in a higher register, leading into the rest of the piece.
